9/8/22 An unannounced Code compliance inspection was conducted today.
There were 36 children in care with 12 staff members. The
children were playing outdoors, having group time, painting with marbles, and drawing.
Four child records and four staff records were reviewed.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on the review of four staff files, the facility failed to ensure that all required background checks are conducted within the required timeframe for all employees.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 indicated on the sworn statement that they had lived outside Virginia in the last five years. There is no central registry background check on file for this state.Plan of Correction: The program director reported that the background check has been submitted.
