Technical Assistance:
Discussed combining records for all required emergency drills. Inspector will send model form to for documenting emergency drills to the center.

Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 9/15/2022 and concluded on 9/15/2022 . There were a total of 28 children with 6 staff members present. Children were observed coloring, playing with magnetic cars, creating art, and experimenting with shaving cream. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A
Description: The center did not keep record of the work phone number and place of employment for each parent who has custody of a child.

Evidence: There was no record of parent's work phone number or place of employment for child #1.

Plan of Correction: Center will contact parent to obtain parents work phone and work address.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B
Description: Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place that prevents access by children.

Evidence: Four containers of cleaning wipes were found in the bathroom used by the 4 year old's classroom.

Plan of Correction: Center moved the cleaning wipes to a locked location.
