An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/6/24 from 10:00am to 11:45am with the director. There were 47 children in care, ranging in age from three-months-old to five-years-old, supervised by five staff. The children were observed eating a morning snack of vanilla cookies and milk; having diapers changed and hands washed; playing with legos; reading books; and playing in structured centers. Five child records and five staff records were reviewed. The Center has eight staff with current certification in CPR and First Aid, and three staff trained in Daily Health Observation. Three medications and authorization forms were reviewed, and the center has two staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Required postings were observed. The attendance, menu, allergy list, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent Fire Inspection on file was dated 8/10/23 and the most recent Health Inspection on file was dated 3/19/24. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A Description: Based on review of five staff records, the center did not ensure that each staff member submitted documentation of a negative tuberculosis (TB) screening at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with children.
