Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted from 10:00 - 11:30 am with the provider. There was one child in care, age two, for a total of two points. The child was observed playing with a variety of age-appropriate toys. Four child records and two caregiver/household member records were reviewed. The childcare area was observed and is large, organized and equipped with age-appropriate toys, equipment and materials. Two cribs were observed and they meet CPSC standards (manufactured 12/21, 6/20.) Reviewed and discussed the written attendance, first aid kit, battery operated flashlight and weather band radio, emergency preparedness plan, weekly menu, required posted information, and child and caregiver records. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid, but is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot administer medication to children in care.
