Technical Assistance:
Please submit your renewal application as soon as possible.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted between the hours of 10:00am through 11:40am. There were a total of 10 children present ranging between ages 7 months through 3 years old (27 points) with the Provider and 1 assistant. A total of 6 children's files, 2 staff files, and 4 household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in free play with self selection of age appropriate toys and materials. Infant feeding and diapering was also observed. Positive interactions between caregivers and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, evacuation drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys and the home was clean and organized. Please contact me with any questions or concerns at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-750-B
Description: Based on observation, diaper creams were not kept inaccessible to children.

Evidence:
1. Diaper creams were kept on the shelf below the diaper changing table. The diaper creams are accessible to the children in care.

Plan of Correction: I will move diaper creams to the locked cabinet underneath the sink in the bathroom.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C
Description: Based on record review, 1 of 6 children's records reviewed did not contain documentation of additional immunizations updated once every six months for children under the age of two.

Evidence:
1. Child #3 is a child under the age of two years old and the immunization record was last updated on 2/12/19.

Plan of Correction: I will text the mom right now and print off the updated immunizations.
