This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 06/25/2020 and concluded on 06/26/2020. The person in-charge was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 35 children present and 7 staff. The inspector emailed the person in-charge a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed three children?s records and 4 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-2 Description: Based on interview it was determined that Agent A and Agent B did not have documentation of a determination letter based on a fingerprint background check. Evidence: Upon interview with administration it was determined Agent A and Agent B had not yet obtained a determination letter based on a fingerprint background check. Plan of Correction: Administration provided documentation that Agent A and Agent B have made appointments to obtain a fingerprint check. Administration will provide documentation of the fingerprint results upon receipt of the determination letters.
