The following was discussed with the owner at the exit interview portion of the inspection.
-Be sure to check that any medications accepted by the center have up-to-date forms that reflect the same information that is on the pharmacy information and on the medication itself.
-Reducing the amount of containers that were in the infant room was discussed, in order to provide more space for children to move.
- Comments:

A renewal inspection was conducted on 08/07/2023. There were 46 children present and 9 staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 5 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
The kitchen door was wide open and the cabinet closest to the door did not have a lock that worked. Inside the unlocked cabinet there were multiple bottles of sanitizer sprays and bleach.Plan of Correction: The owner will remind staff to let her know immediately when something is broken or ion need of repair. A new lock will be placed on the chemical cabinet in the kitchen.
