This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. The Director was contacted via Facetime to conduct the inspection. A total of 34 children and 4 staff were on site during the inspection. The children had just finished lunch and had transitioned to nap time. Staff on site were observed wearing masks and practicing social distancing. The children were observed sleeping on their mats, engaging in quiet activities or having instruction in the school aged classroom. All 3 classrooms were observed. Boundaries had been established throughout the center to ensure same groupings of children and recommended social distancing is adhered to. A total of 3 children's records and one one new staff's record were reviewed. Thank you for your cooperation during this remote inspection process. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@dss.virginia.gov with any questions.
