This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 8/9/2021 and concluded on 8/10/2021. The Director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 19 children present with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-H Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not maintain public liability insurance for bodily injury with a minimum limit of at least $500,000 each occurrence and with a minimum limit of $500,000 aggregate.
Evidence: The liability insurance documentation provided did not contain limited liability insurance for bodily injuries or aggregate.Plan of Correction: I will get it corrected.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F Description: Based on documentation, the center does not follow the most recent, age-appropriate nutritional requirements of a recognized authority such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Evidence: The monthly meal menu posted at the facility does not reflect that a fruit is served daily with lunch. The USDA recommends that a full serving of a fruit and vegetable be served for lunch.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
