Comments:
An announced subsidy modification inspection was conducted on Monday, April 10, 2023 from approximately 9:10am to 10:15am to review compliance with subsidy requirements in the providers new home. There were no children in care today. A walk through of the home was conducted with the provider. Administrative records, emergency supplies and equipment and all areas of the home were inspected. One caregiver record was reviewed. The provider stated that transportation is not provided at this time and medication is not administered.
Violations were found during the inspection and are identified on the violation notice. If you have any questions regarding the inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector at (804) 929-3771.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-260-A
Description: Based on observation, the vendor did not ensure areas and equipment of the family day home, inside and outside, were maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
Evidence:
The provider had a large television on the floor, leaning against the wall which presented an injury hazard if pulled by a child.

Plan of Correction: Getting my TV put on the wall today.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-280-A
Description: Based on observation, the vendor did not ensure to have sinks located near the toilets that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120?F.
Evidence:
The water from the bathroom sink designated for children measured 131.7?F.

Plan of Correction: I will turn water down myself today 4/10/23.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-410-A-1
Description: Based on observation, the vendor did not ensure to have all the required first aid kit components.
Evidence:
The vendor?s first aid kit did not contain the following components; adhesive tape, triangular bandages and gloves.

Plan of Correction: Going today 4-10-23 to get supplies.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-420-B-1
Description: Based on record review, the vendor did not ensure the family day home?s emergency preparedness plan contained all required procedural components.
Evidence:
The emergency plan did not contain the following procedural components: lockdown procedures, relocation procedures, methods for containment for evacuation and additional required information.

Plan of Correction: I will correct asap.
