Technical assistance was provided regarding use of cribs, high chairs, and children's records.

An in-person announced initial inspection was conducted on July 25, 2022 from 10:30am until 11:15am. There were 2 children present including the providers own child with 1 staff supervising. Children were observed playing with puzzles, dinosaurs and drawing. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 1 staff record and 2 household member records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-760-A-1 Description: Based on observation, the first aid kit does not contain the minimum requirements.
Evidence: The first aid kit is missing two triangular bandages.Plan of Correction: We will buy some and make sure we have them.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-690-D Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface was not able to be cleaned and sanitized after each use.
Evidence: The diaper changing pad was ripped and the cloth underneath was exposed therefore the surface cannot be properly cleaned and sanitized.Plan of Correction: We will buy a new pad.
