About the Plan

Virginia Social Services System members participate in ongoing strategic planning efforts at both the statewide and local levels. To achieve their common mission and goals, system representatives use a committee structure.

Goals and Subcommittees

The Strategic Plan Steering Committee oversees 6 goal-driven subcommittees. It is comprised of local agency directors, representatives from the Virginia Community Action Partnership and VDSS staff. Together the Steering Committee and its subcommittees create the Virginia Social Services System Strategic Plan and monitor the social service system's performance.
