Comments:

An unannounced consultation inspection was conducted with co-worker N.P. from 10:27 a.m until 2:40 p.m to introduce the inspector to be assigned to the facility. There were 20 participants present .The inspectors observed several morning activities and the lunch meal. The inspectors also toured the facility and reviewed some of the facility records(fire drills, insurance documents, inspection reports,menus and the activity calendar) and the staff and resident record content . There was discussions/consultation about the following: 1. using the cross walk of the new and old regulations and the regulations to determine the updates and revisions required 2. updating policies and procedures to reflect new requirements 3. staff qualifications 4. frequency of assessments 5. background check requirements 6. staff orientation requirement and timeline 7. suggested the use of model forms located on the website 8. reviewed plan of care content and frequency 9. review of the physical exam report for required content 10. approved CPR and first aid training programs listed in the regulations Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions .
