This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A complaint inspection was initiated on 9/30/2020 and concluded on 10/5/2020. A complaint was received by the department alleging the facility?s fire extinguisher?s inspection date had expired, staff administering medication did not speak English, staff used a hose to bathe residents and the front door was blocked with a wheelchair at night. The Administrator was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation. The licensing inspector emailed the Administrator a list of documentation required to complete the investigation. The licensing inspector contacted the local fire department regarding the allegation of the facility blocking the door at night. The fire department conducted an inspection on 9/30/2020. The report documented ?no violations at the time of inspection.? The licensing inspector interviewed facility staff, reviewed the staff records and conducted a virtual tour of the facility. The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegations of non-compliance with standards or law. The complaint was not valid and no violations were issued.
