A best practice when completing resident assessments, would be to, document the level of care on the assessment form (Residential, Assisted, or Independent).

Comments:

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing office on 08/20/2019. The inspection started at 10:00 a.m. and concluded at 11:20 a.m. Interviews were conducted with staff and collateral's and documentation was reviewed relating to allegations of inappropriate assessment and resident care. Telephone interviews were conducted off site. An exit meeting was conducted with key staff and opportunity was given to provide information and to answer questions related to the concerns of the complainant. The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation does not support the allegations, so the complaint is determined to be not valid.
