Two licensing representatives conducted a complaint investigation from 1:00p-2:00p regarding the facility's procedure for disbursing medication to residents/families when the resident is going to be away from the building. There was a breakdown in communication among staff resulting in a delay in preparing the medication causing an inconvenience to the family. The facility may want to consider how they might prevent this situation from occurring in the future. However, there was no violation of assisted living standards. Therefore, this complaint is found to be not valid.
