Technical Assistance:

In the outside common area of the new memory care unit there were large rocks on the drain grate cover and in front of the exterior doors that could be a hazard with jagged edges.

Comments:

Two licensing inspectors conducted a two day consultation visit on July 8 and July 9, 2019. The new construction area was observed and measurements were made of each room to determine adequate space to accommodate additional beds as a part of a Memory Care unit. There were some issues noted with the building including protective devices on the windows in the memory care wing. There were staff working on the issue after inspectors exited. Both inspectors returned on July 9, 2018 and all issues noted had been repaired. An exit meeting was held with the administrator. The new construction is now part of the licensed facility and modification to the current license is required when there is an increase in capacity. The appropriate forms from the building, fire and health officials have been submitted. Please return a copy of the signed form to the licensing office.
