Comments:

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing office on 1-13-20. Interviews were conducted with staff and collateral agency, record review also conducted relating to allegation that resident did not receive medication that was provided to the facility after request was made to the facility. Medication was alleged to have been picked up by family and taken to facility and facility pharmacy also delivered medication and resident was billed by facility pharmacy. The information gathered could not be determined, so the complaint is determined to be not valid. There were no violations resulting from this complaint investigation. LI suggested facility review its policy and procedures for compliance with regulation and review self-administration medication policy and procedures.
