Technical Assistance:

1. Consistently include ability to use or not use the call bell system on the individualized service plan. 2. Clarify hospice orders for medication aides (oxycodone versus morphine) when two medications are prescribed for pain but have an order in which to be used. Census: 21

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on 4/21/2020 and concluded on 4/23/2020. The administrator, Meta Patton, was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The administrator reported that the current census was twenty-one. The inspector emailed the administrator a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed three resident records, three staff records, a two week staff schedule, staff training, health care oversight,dietary oversight, medication administration records and physician orders, fire and emergency drills and outside required inspections. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
