Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A complaint inspection was initiated on 07/23/20 and concluded on 07/29/20. A complaint was received by the department regarding the allegation of neglect. The interim administrator, was contacted to conduct the investigation. The licensing inspector emailed the administrator a list of documentation required to complete the investigation. The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegation of neglect. There was one violation resulting from this complaint inspection. Description:	Based upon review of residents' records, the facility failed to ensure verbal orders are signed within 14 days as required. EVIDENCE: 1) The records for residents A and B contained verbal orders for blood oxygen monitoring to be completed twice a day. a. The orders are dated 07/06/20 and do not contain a physician's signature.
