Technical Assistance:

870.E - All furnishings, fixtures, and equipment, including furniture, window coverings, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers, shall be kept clean and in good repair and condition, except that furnishings and equipment owned by a resident shall be, at a minimum, in safe condition and not soiled in a manner that presents a health hazard.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A complaint investigation was initiated on 8/26/2020 and concluded on 9/4/2020 to investigate allegations regarding facility cleanliness. The inspector interviewed the complainant and the facility's administrator. No supporting documentation was provided to support the allegations. Technical assistance is being provided based on an interview with the administrator regarding furnishings owned by residents. No violations were issued.
