Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was complete today. The physical plant, 5 staff files, 5 children's files, annual fire inspection, staff training, child nutrition, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected between 3-4:40. There were 45 children under the supervision of 10 staff. During the inspection, children were observed cleaning up for and eating afternoon snack, playing outside on the playground, having diapers changed and enjoying free play. The children bring in their lunches and snacks daily from home. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There are currently 3 staff certified in MAT (medication administration training). Should you have any questions, please contact me at mary.wizbicki@dss.virginia.gov.
