An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 9:50 AM and ending at 12:35 PM. There were sixty-eight children in care during the inspection. The children's ages ranged between 3 months and 14 years old. One infant was observed being bottle fed by a caregiver. The older infants were observed playing outside. The older children were observed making butter and hand held robots. Ten children's records and six staff records were reviewed and in compliance. One medication was reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent lockdown drill was documented as 2/3/17. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 3/1/18. The most recent emergency escape drill was documented as 5/3/18. The most recent health inspection was documented as 9/1/17. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on a review of medications and documentation, the center did not have written authorization from the child's physician and parent for all long-term medications. Evidence: Child A's long-term medication authorization for was not signed by a physician; the parents had signed the written authorization form on 4/13/18. Plan of Correction: The center will have the parent sign a 10 day medication authorization form until the physicians signature is obtained.
