An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 45 children in care, with a total of 8 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Staff training, children's records, staff records, the physical plant, children's medications, and emergency preparedness items were inspected today. Today was on site picture day for the children. In addition to picture day, the children were observed practicing letter recognition skills, eating snack from home, enjoying a classroom birthday party, playing outside, and engaging in a large variety of creative play activities. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:30am and 12:20pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on a review of staff health records, it was determined that the TB health screening for one new staff person was not completed within 12 months prior to hire nor within 21 days after hire. Evidence: Staff C began employment on 8/28/18. The TB screening for this staff person was completed on 10/11/17. Plan of Correction: I will ask her to get a current TB screening completed.
