63.2 Facilities & Programs.
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 10:00am - 1:45pm. There were 85 children in care with 16 staff. The children were observed in circle time, playing in the centers, at story time, playing on the playground, during lunch and during nap time. Eight staff's records and eight children's records were reviewed. One violation from the previous inspection had been corrected. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have all hazardous substances stored in a locked place. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the two year old classroom. There were four cans of paint and primer spray stored in an unlocked cabinet. The cans were inaccessible to the children, but were not in a locked place. Plan of Correction: The cans of paint and primer were removed from the center during the inspection.
