Technical Assistance:
A discussion was held on licensing renewal and what was needed.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-12:30pm. There were 9 children supervised by 1 direct care staff. The physical plant, staff records, children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were participating in gym during the inspection. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C
Description: Based on review of medications and authorizations, not all authorizations have the correct organizations. Evidence: Child #1 has 2 medications on site with written authorizations from onI y the parent, not the physician.

Plan of Correction: I will have the parent get the authorizations from the physician.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-G
Description: Based on observation, when food is brought from home, the containers are not labeled with child's name and date. Evidence: Lunches brought from home were not labeled with child's name or dates.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure all lunches are labeled with name and date.
