The next anticipated inspection will be the center?s renewal inspection. Center management was reminded to have all renewal application documents completed and sent into licensing office 45 days prior to expiration for processing. The renewal application is available on the VDSS website.
Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 10:15am and 12:30pm. At the start of the inspection there no children in care. A total of 4 children?s files and 3 staff files were reviewed. The children were observed (list of activities) and other organized activities. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the center has not documented orientation training for one staff member. Evidence: Staff #1 (date of hire: 8/13/2018) file does not contain documentation of orientation. The center director stated that the training was done but the file checklist (documentation) is missing. Plan of Correction: We'll get that done.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation, the center did not have findings of the most recent inspection posted. Evidence: The most recent inspection of the center was on 7/6/2018. The inspection findings that are currently posted are from an inspection conducted on 12/28/2017. Plan of Correction: I'll take care of that.
