- Technical Assistance:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 2:55 pm and concluded the inspection at 6:00 pm. The center?s director assisted the inspector throughout this inspection. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 35 children in the direct care of 4 staff and one administrator. Upon the inspector's arrival, children were engaged in various activities. The children were observed playing UNO with a staff member and later observed doing homework and reading books. Two other groups of children were observed during snack time and later playing in different centers in their designated area of the classroom. The children were observed taking bathroom breaks and later going outside. Some of the children were picked up while the inspector was on site. Staff interacted with the children in a positive manner. The classrooms are decorated with the children's artwork and are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu and various parent information. The center's first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed during today's inspection. Emergency medications and authorizations were reviewed. Health Inspection: 01/22/2019 Fire Inspection: 03/26/2019 The last documented evacuation drill was held on 02/26/2019 The last shelter-in-place drill was documented on 07/16/2018 A lockdown drill was documented on 09/17/2018 A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. There were no violations found during this supplemental Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection.
