A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on (4/29/2019) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 2:20pm-4:30pm. There were 23 children directly supervised by 5 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, playing with Keva planks, reading, doing their homework, and eating snack. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on record review, it was determined that the emergency preparedness plan was incomplete. Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan did not include continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Plan of Correction: We will add the missing information to the emergency preparedness plan.
