An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:00am to 12:15pm with the new Director. There were 34 children in care, ranging from three months to five years of age, supervised by seven staff. The children were observed reading a story and practicing identifying their body parts, in free play, and drawing their favorite part of a book they had just read. Six children?s records and five staff records were reviewed and were in compliance. The Center has adequate staff certified in CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation. Nine medications and authorization forms were reviewed and were in compliance and the center has staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed. The last documented evacuation drill was dated 10/29/19, and the last documented shelter-in-place drill was dated 5/13/19. The most recent Fire Inspection was conducted 6/5/19 and the most recent Health Inspection was conducted 1/25/19. Breakfast today was bagels with cream cheese, bananas, and milk.
