A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 01/27/2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances and emergency plans. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-3 Description: Based on documentation review and interview, the emergency preparedness plan did not contain procedural components for lockdown.
1) On the date of inspection (01/27/2020) the emergency plan available for review, did not contain lockdown procedures including facility containment.
2) Staff 1 stated that they are reviewing the emergency plan.
Plan of Correction: We are reviewing the emergency plan and will have it completed in two weeks.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-780-A-3 Description: Based on documentation review and interview, lockdown procedures were not practiced at least annually.
1) On the date of inspection (01/27/2020), the emergency drills log available for review did not have documentation of a lockdown drill being completed for the years 2019 and 2018.
2) Staff 1 stated that they did not complete a lockdown drill before.
Plan of Correction: We will start practicing lockdown drills annually.
