Technical Assistance:
Discussed zoning requirements and possible issues to clear up.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal was conducted today. The Provider has reduced to a capacity of 7 children and 7 children were observed in care. There was a total of 23 points with the Provider and an assistant. The Provider is not MAT certified and children's records reflect she does not administer medication. The Provider and assistant have attended more than 16 hours in annual training and are current in CPR/First Aid. Children's records, staff records, hand washing, infant feedings, and supervision were also observed. The entire house was walked through and children do not receive care on the second or third floor. The inspector did not observe outside because it is snow covered. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on review of 2 children's records, the Provider did not obtain Proof of ID for child #2.

Plan of Correction: I have it on folder as parent stated she would bring.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c
Description: Based on record review and staff interviews, the Provider did not obtain CPS clearances for herself, staff and household members before three years since the dates of the last most recent central registry checks. Evidence: 1. All required CPS checks for caregivers and household members expired in the end of January. 2. Provider stated she thought they did not have to be repeated.

Plan of Correction: I misunderstood and will have them sent out immediately.
