Technical Assistance:
The local Child Care Office has removed three original CPS checks from the home. Based on the provider statement that she paid for the clearances and that her name and address are the "requesting agency" they are the property of the provider and should be returned immediately to her home.

An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted. Six children were present for twenty-one points which is within ratios for supervision. Consultation was given on providing sight or sound supervision for asleep children in the crib room. The provider should periodically check, use a monitor or have the door open so she can view the children as needed. The State standards do not require sight and sound supervision at all times. Children were engaged in free play with music and toys in the play room. Reviewed background checks, one child record, training certifications, emergency preparation and nutrition. Lunch to be served today was spaghetti, mix veggies, pears, wheat bread and milk. No medication was reported to be on-site. Diaper creams are labeled properly. Please call if you need any assistance. A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
