54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today. There were four children present with the Provider and assistant for a total of 12 points. The Provider and assistant have attended over 16 hours in training and are current with First Aid and CPR. The Provider is also MAT certified but no one is currently needing medication. The files, emergency procedures, and daily postings were complete and current. Hand washing, physical plant, care of children and emergencies are in compliance. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-510-A Description: Based on observation, an infant was provided a cradle for sleeping and not a crib. Evidence: 1. The baby was observed sleeping in the area where other children were sleeping. The caregiver stated the baby loves but but agreed to place the baby in a crib located in the other room. Plan of Correction: We will no longer use the cradle.
