- Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment and current staffing. Discussion of Standard 520.E with regards to breathable crib bumpers. There is currently no allotment for this type of pad. Therefore, until there is such a change to this standard, all crib bumpers placed inside an infant's crib would be in non-compliance.
The following inspection took place between the hours of 10:30 am through 12:30 pm. Today, I met with the Provider on site at her Family Day Home (FDH) located near Springfield, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 5 children (14 points) with 1 caregiver. A total of 6 children?s files and 3 staff/household member?s files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: freeplay, toy play, games, music, nap time, hand washing, snack time, and other organized activities. If you should have any future questions, please call. Thank you. Charlie Perkins, Licensing Inspector (703) 309-3963
