An unannounced morning inspection has been conducted today. There were 5 children with 2 caregivers for a total of 13 points. The Provider and Inspector discussed the organization of materials and household items as it related to children in care. The Inspector reviewed records while observing the children participating in an art activity. The Inspector discussed record keeping and maintaining of all records with the Provider as well. Description: Based on observation inside and outside the Provider is not maintaining areas in a safe condition inside and outside. Outside has two large cooler in the children's play area as well as debris and broken items that are sitting on the retaining wall area. The Inspector found a child's table on its side in one of the play rooms that would cause injury if it was to fall over. The Inspector also found trash bags, debris, and stacked items in the back room that the children must use to go into the backyard. The Inspector also found closet that had items falling out when door was opened and it does not have a lock to prevent children's access.

Description: While checking the kitchen, the Inspector observed that the Provider is not unplugging small appliances when not in use.

Description: Based on observation, the Provider did not dispose dirty diapers in a leak proof storage system. The Inspector and the Provider walked outside and the Provider stated the small trash bag of dirty diapers, which was located on the ground, was put there because they wanted them out from smelling up the house.
