- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted July 28, 2016 from approximately 2:20pm to 3:40pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. In attendance were 10 non-resident children being supervised by three caregivers for a total of 29 points. Children were observed sleeping for naptime, playing with toys and being picked up by their parents and guardians. The provider lost power during the inspection and the licensing inspector observed the caregivers implementing their emergency preparedness plan. Children were picked up within one hour. A complete walk through of the home was completed with the provider. During the inspection the emergency supplies were inspected including the first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio. Emergency drills, menu, daily attendance, annual staff training, parent agreements and pets' rabies documentation was reviewed during the inspection. The provider stated medication is not being administered at this time. Transportation is not provided. Three children's and two caregivers' records were reviewed during the inspection.
If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
