The children were observed finishing outdoor water play activities, eating lunch, listening to stories, and preparing for their afternoon nap. The children were served grilled cheese sandwiches, broccoli, bananas, and milk for lunch today during this inspection. This inspection was completed between approximately 11:20 am and 12:30 pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-E Description: Based on observations, it was determined that two infant bottles were not labeled as required. Evidence: Two infants bottles belonging to the same child were not labeled with the child's name. Plan of Correction: The bottles are kept inside the child's insulated bag in the refrigerator. I will label the bottles today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record #3 does not include the provider's signature indicating that she viewed the child's original proof of identification. Plan of Correction: I saw the child's birth certificate but forgot to document it. I will update the file with the documentation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-250-E Description: Based on observations, it was determined that balloons were accessible to children under the age of five. Evidence: Two inflated balloons were observed on the floor in the child care area. All children in care were under the age of five. Plan of Correction: The balloons were removed immediately during the inspection.
