An unannounced monitoring inspection was done today August 25, 2016 beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at 12:45 PM. The provider was caring for three children today with points at eight and in compliance. The assistant was not present today. Per discussion with the provider the children had their breakfast, then danced/sang to music, played kitchen and discussed food items. They also had worked on puzzles and looked at books. When the inspector arrived the children were playing with the dolls in free play time. They were observed with the provider reviewing colors while they played with blocks. Lunch, nap and the outside play area were observed as well. The children, provider and pet files were reviewed. There are no medications administered and the provider continues with the USDA program. We discussed methods of supervision while providing care for the children. The violation and corrective action were discussed with the provider today. If you have any additional questions, please contact the inspector at 540-309-2835.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
