54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
Today an unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted from 11:30am-12:50pm. There was 1 child present directly supervised by 1 staff. The home, 1 staff record, 2 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. The child in care was observed being checked in and playing freely. There was a sufficient supply of books and toys for children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-B Description: Based on record review and provider interview, the provider did no conduct the required minimum of two yearly shelter-in-place procedures. Evidence: 1. There were no records or a shelter-in-place having been practiced 2. The provider stated shelter-in-place procedures had not been practiced. Plan of Correction: I will do 2 drills a year, starting this month.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on record review and provider interview, the provider did not keep a written record of children in attendance each day. Evidence: 1. The attendance sheet available was last updated on 9/6/2016. 2. There were no children listed for the remainder of the week, though the provider stated children were in care. Plan of Correction: The provider updated the attendance sheet, during the inspection.
