Technical Assistance:
Renewal of water safety certification prior to swimming activities next summer was discussed.

The inspector arrived at 2:10 PM and departed at 3:20 PM. Seven children, totalling 16 points, were in care with two caregivers. An eighth school-aged child arrived during the inspection. Nap time and transition to afternoon activities and snack service were observed. It was reported that the children are not currently using the back yard play space due to renovations and that they are taken on neighborhood walks for outdoor time. Three household/caregiver records and eight children's records were reviewed. It was reported that no children are administered any medication at the family day home. Crib certifications and pet immunizations were reviewed. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider, during which the provider's plan of correction for the violation cited was obtained. Please contact the inspector if there are any questions,

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
