54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Observed 7 children (14 points) directly supervised by the provider. Ratio and supervision were in compliance. A sample of 3 children's records, and caregiver records were reviewed. The physical plant, and emergency procedures were also reviewed. No medications were reported on site. The children were engaged in various activities, to include: free play, reading, circle time and music. The interior of the family day home was found to be clean, organized, and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-750-B Description: Based upon observation, product marked keep out of the reach of children was not inaccessible to children in care. Evidence: There was a pump bottle of hand sanitizer on the shelf behind the activity table accessible to children in care. Plan of Correction: The hand sanitizer was removed during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-D Description: Based upon record review, required monthly drill was not completed as required. Evidence: There was no emergency response drill conducted for the month of September 2016. Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B Description: Based upon observation, unused electrical outlets were not covered by child resistant protective covers. Evidence: 2 Outlets by the blue sofa were not covered and 1 outlet by the yellow table was not covered. Plan of Correction: Outlets covers were replaced during inspection.
