Technical Assistance:
Reminded provider and assistant about annual training (16 hours) required from anniversary date. Discussed possibility of Nighttime Care in the future. Also discussed health and illness policies.

Comments:
An announced initial study was conducted today from 10:30am to 12:10pm. 5 children (12 pts.) and 2 providers were present. Ratios were in compliance. The physical space, outdoor space, Emergency Evacuation Preparedness Plan, emergency kit, 2 cribs (manufactured in 2011 from Lakeshore Learning), provider records and children's records were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Provider is MAT trained. The space was clean, well organized and contained an abundance of developmentally appropriate materials. Interactions between providers and children were all positive. Children were observed singing, playing with playdough, coloring and eating. Menus were posted. No violations were cited today. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at stephanie.togni@dss.virginia.gov.
