22VAC40-191 Background Checks for Child Welfare Agencies
An unannounced inspection was conducted today. there were 5 children present with both caregivers and all were sleeping for a total of 11 points. The Provider and caregiver have attended various trainings including a course called Building Engineering Skills and Creative Art: Collages. Both staff have CPR and First Aid certification and MAT is current. Program was clean and no hazards were observed and all cleaning items and medications were locked up. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on record review and staff interviews, Caregiver's CR Check was not obtained before three years since the last check. The Provider sent it out along with the Provider's form but it was sent back because the wrong form was sent and Provider has sent it back out. The Provider also showed the Inspector that his form was complete and in the file. Plan of Correction: It was resent out and should be back in the next week. We have been working to get this completed since January.
