An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on July 19th 2017 between 11:00am and 1:00pm. There were 12 children in the direct care of 3 staff members. Children were observed being fed, being diapered, building, and singing. The home is clean, organized, and offers plenty of materials for children to utilize. The staff records, a sampling of children's records, the evacuation drills, the emergency preparedness plan, the physical plant, and supervision were observed and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: Based on observation, the provider did not maintain documentation of evacuation drills. Evidence: The provider stated that a drill was conducted June of 2017, but the paperwork was not updated and the last date listed on the form was May 2017. Plan of Correction: I will put the information on the form.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C Description: Based on record review, 3 of 3 records reviewed did not contain updated documentation of additional immunizations for children once every six months for children under the age of 2 years. Evidence: Child #1: Last had an update submitted 11/23/2016 Child #2: Last had an update submitted 12/30/2016 Child #3: Last had an update submitted 9/14/2016 Plan of Correction: I will notify the parents that I need it updated.
