Technical Assistance:
Discussed with provider the necessity for a physician approved allergy plan for children enrolled with food allergies.

Comments:
An unannounced non mandated inspection subsidy inspection was conducted today (in conjunction with the licensing inspection) between 10:45am and 11:45am. At the beginning of the inspection there were 7 children present with 2 caregivers. Children were observed eating snack and engaging in free play. The physical space, vendor and caregiver training certificates, allergy action plans, emergency drills, emergency reunification procedures, children's records and attendance records were reviewed. Required documents were posted. Food service and hazardous substances were discussed. Areas of non-compliance are in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-A
Description: Based on record review, the family day home's emergency plan was incomplete. Evidence: The emergency plan did not contain written procedures for an emergency situation that would require a lock down of the family day home.

Plan of Correction: The provider will review and create a lock down plan to add to the emergency plan.
