An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today. Observed 5 children (10 points) directly supervised by 2 caregivers. A sample of 2 children's records and 2 caregiver records were reviewed today. No medications were reported to be on site. The children were observed during free play. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. Inspection conducted from approximately 11:10am to 12:20pm. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-B Description: Based upon interview, a caregiver did not complete the Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff within the first 90 days of service. Evidence: Upon request, the provider stated that Caregiver #2 did not complete the required training yet. Plan of Correction: I will make to complete training by the end of the week. The training was started, just need to finish.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-B Description: Based upon documentation reviewed, the emergency preparedness plan was incomplete. Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan did not include lockdown procedures. Plan of Correction: I will make sure to update the emergency preparedness plan by tomorrow.
