Technical Assistance:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/16/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:50am-12:45pm. There were 4 children (11 points) directly supervised by 1 staff at inspector's time of arrival. A second caregiver arrived later on during the inspection. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, outdoors and indoors, singing, and eating lunch (Spare ribs, green beans, sweet potatoes). There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on record review of emergency plans, evacuation procedures on site did not include a reunification plan. Evidence: During the inspection, the evacuation procedures on file did not include a reunification plan for parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child in case of an emergency.

Plan of Correction: I will review evacuation procedures and add a reunification plan.

Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-B-4
Description: Based on record review of emergency plans, shelter-in-place procedures on site did not include a reunification plan. Evidence: During the inspection, the shelter-in-place procedures on file did not include a reunification plan for parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child in case of an emergency.
