Comments:
Today an announced Initial visit was conducted with the New Provider. This visit took place in the morning between 9:30am-12 there were 3 children with the Provider for a total of 12 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning free play, playing with blocks, signing songs, actively engaged in self-selected activities such as blocks, cars, balls and in transition for lunch and nap time. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and provider records, fire drill log, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-940-A
Description: Based on observation of the refrigerator thermometer it was above 40 degrees. Evidence: The thermometer temperature in the refrigerator was 55 degrees.

Plan of Correction: Provider lowered the the refrigerator temperature during this inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: Based on observation, the following areas were found not being maintained in a clean, safe & operable condition. Evidence: In the childcare area, chipped/peeling paint was found in along the wall near the back door.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she will have it repainted over the weekend.
