Technical Assistance:
Discussed changes to background check requirements. One household member has recently turned 18 years of age, reminded provider of needed background checks.

Comments:
Today an unannounced Monitoring inspection took place between 10:45am and 12:15pm. There were 6 children present with the provider for a total of 14 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed working on a St. Patrick's Day hat craft, having diaper changes and playing freely. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-A
Description: Based on observation, small appliances were left plugged in when not in use. Evidence: During the inspection, there was a toaster oven and coffee maker plugged in.

Plan of Correction: This was corrected during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B
Description: Based on observation, protective covers were not used for one unused electrical outlet. Evidence: One unused electrical outlet in the kitchen island did not have a protective cover.

Plan of Correction: This was corrected during the inspection.
